<p>An excellent example of ways to grab customers attention and to market to them in a way that encourages them to buy at a certain time is Krispy Kreme’s neon Hot Light sign. Their Hot Light turns on during certain hours of the day and night, signaling to passers-by in-the-know that their doughnuts are fresh right at that moment. Developed in direct responce to noticing that they sell more doughnuts when they are freshly made than at any other time.  So why not tell customers about it.  A great example of how urge alerts grab customers attention</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I ask customers what they think they want. And I try to listen with unclogged ears, opened eyes and an open heart. Then I ask then what their customers really want. Its not about you. Once we find out what a customer would actually be excited to buy or do, our job is to make sure that’s what is being offered.  And that is what any marketing effort must do, if it hopes to succeed.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>When an independent supermarket owner was asked what each customer was worth to him he instantly said &#8220;£52,000.&#8221;  He went on to say &#8220; i will do everything i can to ensure my team doesn&#8217;t loose one&#8221;.  He was then asked how he came to the figure. </p>
<p>He said &#8220;on average a person spends around £100 per month with us and shops 52 weeks a year and i will keep most of them for 10 years if i treat them right.  To loose one customer is a potential loss to me of £52,000 and that&#8217;s not factoring in the fact they will tell 10 other people if they get a bad service&#8221;.</p>
<p>This is from an owner of a business that is lucky enough to operate in an area where competition is relatively low.  With even more choice than ever customers will vote with their feet at any opportunity. </p>
<p>Are you providing the best possible service you can? <br />
Are you really serious about client satisfaction?<br />
Have you considered your client lifetime value?<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If we went through business without arguments then where would we be.  I believe that arguments can stir the passion within a team and get to the real feelings and needs of a business. </p>
<p>Without arguments there can be a tendency for a team to follow the person who has the strongest opinions, the loudest voice or the biggest personality.  How often is this person right?, how often does that person look at things from all angles? and how often does any business get to where it wants to be through the determination of one person?</p>
<p>Arguments don&#8217;t mean falling out, they don&#8217;t have to be personal but i do believe that discussions, even if heated, lead to decisions which in turn lead us to change and at the very least moves us forward. </p>

The airline has already reduced the waste it produces in its offices and ground operations, and now Worn Again has produced 2,000 limited-edition bags using materials reclaimed from approximately 1,000 airplane seats during a renovation. The Worn Again Virgin line includes two handbags, a messenger bag and a toiletry case, priced ranging from GBP 25 to GBP 65. All are handmade in family-run and small-scale workshops in Portugal and come with a list of the &#8220;ingredients&#8221; and sources used.
